In April 2024, the first Cohort of the WEITech program began. 39 passionate educators stepped into a journey that is still shaping how they see teaching and learning beyond the traditional method. Each week, they discovered new ways to use digital literacy and interactive teaching tools to make learning exciting and inclusive. They learned how to design online courses using Edtech tools, AI, and content creation techniques in and out of the classroom. Sessions on digital safety and AI opened their eyes to how powerful and creative technology can be when used thoughtfully.

Beyond the tools, participants explored inclusive lesson design—both online and offline bringing together STEAM concepts, literacy, and creativity to make teaching and learning fun and engaging. They also worked on building a professional online presence and turning digital skills into opportunities and money-making ventures.

The program focused on three key modules: Digital Literacy and Educational Technology, Specialized Instructional Techniques, and Online Presence and Entrepreneurship. Through group projects, hands-on activities, in-person recap sessions, and presentations, they continued to grow not only as teachers but as innovators who believe in the future of tech-driven education.
