DreamOval Foundation has selected seven experienced professionals from Ghana and South Africa to mentor participants of the WEITech Amplify programme, a six-month initiative implemented in partnership with the Internet Society Foundation to help women educators turn their digital education innovations into sustainable, revenue-generating businesses.

The selected mentors bring experience across entrepreneurship, technology, education, finance, business strategy, and consulting. They will support the women founders as they move from developing digital education solutions to building viable businesses that can grow, generate revenue and create long-term impact in education and technology.

The mentors selected for the programme are:

  • Annie Abena Aku Agyemfra, CEO of Edu3ducation Ghana
  • Angela Ankomah Duho, MESTx Senior Manager
  • Kojo Amoako, Founder and CEO of ForgeWorks Africa
  • Selasi Dzikunu, Director of Strategy & Partnerships at Jayset Consulting and Founder of Delse Beauty
  • Michael Vinyo Addae, Founder and Managing Consultant of Vinmak Consult
  • Afua Ntriwaa Peprah, Founder of Trinity Christian School, IT Career Coach and Volunteer Educator
  • Luvuyo Mncanca, Founder and Strategy Consultant at Umsobomvu Group.

With their diverse professional backgrounds and experience, the mentors bring valuable perspectives and insights to the programme. Their involvement will help participants strengthen their business models, better understand their target markets, learn pricing strategies, identify growth opportunities and develop strategies for reaching more users and generating revenue.

The mentors  will also guide mentees  in setting business priorities, establishing measurable milestones, testing their solutions with potential users and assessing whether customers are willing to pay for their products. They will provide constructive feedback to support business decisions and help participants plan for growth beyond the six-month programme.

WEITech Amplify builds on the work of women educators who have developed digital solutions to improve teaching and learning. The programme seeks to help these innovators go beyond creating solutions to building sustainable businesses that can expand access to digital education while creating economic opportunities for the women founders.

In addition to the mentorship, the programme incorporates peer learning, giving mentees the opportunity to share the knowledge and skills they acquire with other women in the various cohorts. This approach extends the benefits of the programme beyond individual participants, encouraging knowledge-sharing, collaboration and collective growth.

WEITech Amplify is creating opportunities for women educators to strengthen their business ideas, build revenue, learn from experienced professionals and share knowledge with other women.
