DreamOval Foundation, the lead implementer of the Ghana Science and Tech Explorer Challenge Prize (GSTEP) and manager of the YSG Ambassador Program, has opened applications for the 2026 cohort.

The Ghana Science and Tech Explorer Challenge Prize (GSTEP) YSG Ambassador Program is a community of young leaders passionate about using STEM to drive impactful change. Each year, a selected group of youth ambassadors are chosen from the Greater Accra, Ashanti, and Eastern Regions to serve as advocates for the GSTEP Challenge.

For the 2026 cohort, applications are now open to young people aged 14–18 who are ready to combine their passion for STEM with leadership and community impact. As Youth Ambassadors, they will play an active role in supporting junior high school students competing in the GSTEP Challenge while undergoing a transformative leadership journey.

Beyond representing their regions, the Ambassadors will inspire young changemakers to explore STEM as a powerful problem-solving tool. They will also contribute to key GSTEP events, lend their voices to community advocacy, and support judging for the prestigious Perseverance Awards Program

Ambassadors shall also gain practical leadership skills through engaging masterclasses and tailored mentorship sessions. They will grow in confidence, strengthen their communication and public speaking skills, learn to manage projects and events, and gain exposure to real-world problem-solving. Many past ambassadors describe the program as a turning point because it shaped their leadership skills, broadened their networks, and opened new opportunities for growth.

Applications for the 2026 Youth Steering Group are open now until 26th September, 2025. This is a unique opportunity for young people to strengthen their leadership skills, expand their networks, and make a tangible STEM impact in their communities.
